It is Holy Week!

Once again we will walk through the week that Jesus walked on the road to the cross.  I am looking forward to the Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Celebration services although life in our home is always quite busy!  As I hope my third grade families already know, we have had to postpone testing until next week due to an error by our testing company!  I actually think it will work well giving us another week to review and having Easter weekend and its excitement over.  I hope that you have a wonderful day!

Spring Break is wonderful!

I hope that my third graders are having a wonderful spring break.  I have been enjoying my family. I just returned from Birmingham where I got to play with my sweet granddaughters and celebrate my daughter's birthday.  Tomorrow, my niece and nephew will arrive for a four day visit.  I also have had time to do some planning for our 4th quarter of third grade.  I am excited to get back to work on Monday.  May God bless you all and I will see you on Monday.

Third Grade is working hard!

   March 4
I am pleased with the progress that is being made in third grade.  The students "flew" through geometry and started division.  It has been a little tricky to truly understand that it is the opposite of multiplication!  Today's practice of "Down by the Creek Bank" was excellent.  The message of Jesus' love is shining through the children.
Science Fair Project information is going home tomorrow and it will be interesting to see the projects the students choose to do.
Next week we will celebrate Lutheran School's Week with special dress and activities each day.  It will be a bit wild but a great way to finish out our third quarter.  There are so many things to look forward to in the future:
Lutheran School's Week   March 8-12
Down by the Creek Bank  March 11
Spring Break  March 15-20
Standardized testing
Science Fair and Young Author's Celebration in April
Field Day in May
I hope you've tried the links;  I will be adding more websites next week.  "This is the day the Lord has made and I am rejoicing and am glad in it"!

Monday's Day!

Third grade had a good day to day although we missed Nathan, at home with a slight concussion, and Logan, at home with a virus.  We prayed often for them.   We started division.  Remember boys and girls, it is the opposite of multiplication!  Next week is Lutheran Schools Week with special dress and activities each day!  We also had fun walking or running a whole mile in the gym!  (There were some weary third graders!)  Try the links to favorite web sites on this page.  Just click and it should take you to them!  Have a great night.  Remember to "rejoice in everything" tonight!
