Mark 15:22 (ESV) “²² And they brought him to the place called Golgotha (which means Place of a Skull).” 

Whether on this hill or not it makes no difference. What does matter is that what took place on this hill is that the prophesy of Genesis 3:15 was fulfilled: satan’s head was crushed!

Hebrews 2:14 (ESV) ¹⁴ Since therefore the children share in flesh and blood, he himself likewise partook of the same things, that through death he might destroy the one who has the power of death, that is, the devil, 

John the Baptist

 John the Baptist’s home was near the this Judean Hill spot. Sometimes we just need to take a coffee and ice cream break.

"Mary's Spring"

After Jesus was conceived by the Holy Spirit (Luke 1:26-38) Mary went to visit her cousin in the hills outside of Jerusalem.  Luke 1:39-45 (ESV) ³⁹ In those days Mary arose and went with haste into the hill country, to a town in Judah, ⁴⁰ and she entered the house of Zechariah and greeted Elizabeth. ⁴¹ And when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, the baby leaped in her womb. And Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit, ⁴² and she exclaimed with a loud cry, “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the fruit of your womb! ⁴³ And why is this granted to me that the mother of my Lord should come to me? ⁴⁴ For behold, when the sound of your greeting came to my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. ⁴⁵ And blessed is she who believed that there would be a fulfillment of what was spoken to her from the Lord.”  John the Baptist knew the Gift of God (Jesus) that Mary was carrying.  John the Baptist was but 6 months old in his mother’s womb and knew whom Mary was carry for he “leaped for joy.”  Is faith and wisdom of God a gift of God or what!?  The angel was right when he told Mary (Luke 1:37), “For nothing is impossible with God!”

"The Book of the Shrine"

“The Book of the Shrine” is a musuem in Jerusalem which houses many of the artifacts found at Qumran Caves.  Among the scrolls found is the whole book of Isaiah as we have it today.  Think of this…. these scrolls were written sometime in the 100-300 B.C. time period and they are the same as we have in Isaiah. This is a manuscript separated from the original manuscript by only a few hundred years. Jesus’ words are certainly true (John 17:17 ESV), ¹⁷ Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.  You can rely of Holy Scriptures for being accurate and true.  NO other religion can have this assurance and blessing!

Yesterday we visited this wall.  Tonight we visited the “Tunnel to the Ancient Wall” where the entrance is at the “Western Wall.”  

Genesis Land Camel Ride

The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave you country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessings.  I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will blessed through you" (Genesis 12:1-3).  "Abram traveled through the land as far as the site of the great tree of Moreh at Shechem. At that time the Canaanites were in the land....From there he went on toward the hills east of Bethel and pitched his ten, with Bethel on the west and Ai on the east. There he built an altar to the Lord and called on the name of the LORD. Then Abram set out and continued toward the Negev" (12:6-8).
